Tears of Joy

Joyful tears of peace,
Flowing down my cheeks,
As I truly realize,
What Jesus did for me.

Each tear a memory,
That floods my beating heart,
Even though I have sinned,
From Jesus I will not depart.

For He was born to die,
A living sacrifice for us all,
He was crucified,
To bridge the gap in the wall.

Without Jesus, we are separated,
Living life all on our own,
With faith we are forgiven,
And have the hope of God to lean on.

Forever my name is written,
In the Book of Life,
Because I accepted His free gift of Salvation,
That’s why tears of joy, not strife.
