She Walks

She Walks

She walks down the street,
Sinking in silent sorrow,
The world has not been kind,
She fears what comes tomorrow.

She walks next to bridges,
Hiding in their shadows,
Longing for the sun,
Dreaming of green meadows.

She walks to the church,
With broken heart whispering,
God hears her prayers,
His ears full of listening.

She walks with smile,
Since she found her Savior,
She is forever forgiven,
Since she found His favor.

She walks with Jesus,
Her umbrella in the rain,
She holds on to Jesus,
In His arms she will remain.
