My Princess

I am on my knees again,
Praying for you, my princess,
My heart breaks,
As you rise into the sunset of darkness.

What have I said?
What have I done?
Why all the hate?
Oh, my beloved one.

My tears fall fast,
As my grip on you slides away,
What can I do child?
To make you want to stay?

You are too young to understand,
You are too young to walk alone,
I know our God is with you,
But, you are making my heart groan.

I am on my knees again,
Praying for you, my princess,
Please step away from this world,
And come to your senses.
