The Race

We rush to get through the day,
Only to go home to get even more done,

Forgetting, we work,
We also work for The One.

We are not promised another year,
Not a second, not a-day,

Yet we tend to focus on,
Doing it our way.

Slow down child of God,
Don’t participate in the worldly race,

Keep your eyes upon Heaven,
Let God set the pace.
