Wanting Your Warmth

Wanting to see your smile,
Walking in the winter of life,
Staring into windows,
Looking back at me.

Stumbling down the street,
Trying to find the way.

One foot in front of the other,
Taking it step by step,
Used to run these roads,
Fell down.

Cold and afraid,
Missing your scent.

Longing to feel your warmth,
Craving to feel your touch,
Then sinking would happen,
Into the icy pond of mishappen.

You are not allowed to come,
You’ve already been taken.

Meant to walk alone,
Find the way back home,
No distractions to influence,
The chosen path.

Hope to see you soon,
Putting ice skates on.
