You Won’t Let Me Go

Their knives cut so deep,
Letting the Holy Spirit out,
Making me scream in pain,
Making me shout.

Permanently scarred,
By all their transgressions,
I run to hide,
And bathe in regressions.

Lord help me out…
I am drowning in this madness,
Lord heal my wounds,
Save me,
Save me from the sadness…

Getting so low, like gum on a shoe,
And I choose to not listen,
Deafening my ears To You,
I did it again…
Dove right back into sin.

I’ve wanted to die,
But you won’t let me go.
You are clinging me tight,
I become a missle…

Ready to shoot…
Ready to explode…

I’ve wanted to die,
But you won’t let me go.

The flame inside I try,
To extinguish with alcohol,
Only made it burn hotter,
I was ready to go…

The knife calls my name,
To cut me some more,
The pills do the same,
I am losing the score…

Running to hide…

Lord help me out…
I am drowning in this madness,
Lord heal my wounds,
Save me,
Save me from this sadness…

I’ve wanted to die,
But you won’t let me go.
You are clinging me tight,
I become a missle…

Ready to shoot…
Ready to explode…

I’ve wanted to die,
But you won’t me go.
