Kindred Spirits

Blended rainbow of colors,
Being consumed by dark night,
The sunset in the sky,
That used to be so bright,

The sun is retiring,
The ending of the day,
I sit here missing you,
While you are away.

You used your wings,
Flew away with the winds,
My heart aches for you,
Will this mourning ever end.

The stars begin peeking,
Their twinkles gets brighter,
Reminds me of your eyes,
Full of smiles and laughter.

I long to hear your voice,
I long to feel your touch,
You are my kindred spirit,
I miss you so much.

I silently pray,
The light of day will come,
When you return back to me,
With the rising of the sun.
