Can You?

Can you read,
In between the lines?
Sometimes I am scared,
To live my life sublime.

Can you read my face,
And how it speaks out loud?
I have trouble at times,
Blending in with the crowd.

Can you hear my thoughts,
The ones I try to hide?
The feelings I bury,
So deep inside.

Can you feel my breath,
When I mumble my needs?
Do you know my stuggles?
Do you pray for me?

Can you feel my love,
From a distance so far?
A hidden treasure,
Like a dim star.

Can you feel my silence,
When I am down?
When I keep my eyes,
Focused on the ground.

Can you just hug me,
When I am in need?
I need your reassurance,
To help me see.

Can you tell me,
It will be alright?
Can you hold me,
In the dark of the night.

Can you just sit,
And talk about the day?
Why are you so distant,
Why are you so far away?

Can you just come back,
Into my life?
I want you so much,
To help with my strife.
