Praying Psalms of The Afflicted

Feeling like a piece of dust,
Formed by Your hand,
Feeling sad in front of my creator,
Because I put my faith in man.

Repeating history of sin after sin,
Because freewill is in my blood to do,
Popping the buttons off my armour,
Forgetting to follow You.

Praying psalms of the afflicted,
Pouring out my heart and shame,
Getting stronger in Your presence,
Remembering why You came.

Counting all the stones of my path,
Please bring me back my youth,
I give You back all my trust,
Make me wise in Your truth.

Bowing down at the throne,
Coming back into confidence,
Healing comes from You within,
As You give grace to my circumstance.

Praying psalms of the afflicted,
Pouring out my heart and shame,
Getting stronger in Your presence,
Remembering why You came.
