Songs Unsung

I love him more than I should,
During the midnight hour,
I look for him,
And in my dreams devour.

Memories never made,
The ones that float in my head,
Going to those places I shouldn’t go,
While asleep in bed.

I want to sing,
The songs unsung,
I want him to be with me,
And be my only one.

Forgive my thoughts Lord,
The devil brings desire to the table,
Please help me cleanse my mind,
I know You are able.

These unpure thoughts,
Swimming in the ocean of lust,
Wanting to find dry land,
Oh lift me up Jesus.

Before I find my strength,
Drown me, I have shame,
From the sirens of the world,
Calling out my name…

Because,
I want to sing,
The songs unsung,
I want him to be with me,
And be my only one.
