Forgive Me

Playing in the puddle of shame,
After the rain of blame.
Yes, I did it in the world,
Yes, I chose to be so cold.

I didn’t mean to break your heart,
I didn’t mean to fill my cart,
With all this, that isn’t mine,
Now, I have to give it time.

You tell me I am not worthy,
You tell me I am wrong,
I want to be forgiven,
I want to share this song…

I tried to say I am sorry,
But you are so weary,
Deafened your ears to my voice,
I knew I had a choice.

Lost the truth on a whim,
I just gave up on Him,
And now you are paying the price,
Because of my device.

You tell me I am not worthy,
You tell me I am wrong,
I want to be forgiven,
I want to share this song…

It’s all I can do,
To stay away from you,
I am here on my knees,
Begging you please.

Forgive me,
Forgive me,
I plea,
I plea.

Playing in the puddle of shame,
After the rain of blame.
Yes, I did it in the world,
Yes, I chose to be so cold.

Forgive me,
Forgive me,
I plea,
I plea.
