Wasted Time

Saying goodbye,
Was very hard to do,
When I was so,
So in love with you.
As time flies,
As my eyes cry,
I mourn the loss,
Of my wasted time.

God is my rock,
Moving on my way,
From my worldy life,
The one I used to stay.
I have changed now,
My old things were made new,
I found my freedom,
I believe in the promises of You.

For this,
Is not a sad song,
Turn it up,
Turn it on.
Walking in a new day,
Big smile across my face,
Walking together,
With Jesus I stay,

Basking in the light of His love,
As I stand on His foundation,
Yet, I am still fighting,
The calling of temptation,
To go back to the previous time,
Of a life with no meaning,
In earthly delight,
Wandering and gleaning.

God is my rock now,
So many moments gone by…
In the wasted time,
The wasted part of my life.
