You Try

Fiery darts of defeat,
You throw at my healthy nourishment,
Trying to catch me on fire,
And char me with discouragement.

I defend myself,
With my Holy armor.
As your try your best,
To be a charmer.

You try to influence me,
With the media’s way,
You try to get me to gaze,
Into the mirror and see dismay.

You waged a war,
That has already been won,
For I believe in the Holy One.

You are the deceiver,
You are the divider,
You are the destroyer,
You are the liar,
Trying to create a controversy,
And drown out my testimony.

You try to make me think,
I am strong with self-sufficiency,
And whisper in my ear,
That I have a mental deficiency.

You try to exhaust me,
With all your lies,
From you,
I will break my ties.

You try to keep me,
Moving and busy,
To take me away,
From my precious family.

With overstimulation,
You try to send my way,
But, I stand firm,
On what the Bible does say.

You waged a war,
That has already been won,
For I believe in the Holy One.

You are the deceiver,

You are the destroyer,
You are the liar,
Trying to create a controversy,
And drown out my testimony.

Your principalities try hard,
To make me cry,
But I am with my Lord,
I shall thrive.

You move the chessboard of people,
Into my spaces,
But with God,
I have a pocket full of aces.

You attempt to devour me like a lion,
But I stand on the ground of Zion.
