Salvation

One tear of happiness,
Rolling down my cheek,
My speech halted to a stutter,
For I cannot speak.

Shock settles in,
As a joy rises inside,
A great big smile comes,
One I cannot hide.

It was a marvelous decision,
One I will never forget,
