Why Did You Leave Me?

Heading up the hill,
Tripping on the stones,
Falling down and down,
Trying to find my way home.

I am being hunted,
In the darkness of the night,
I am way too tired,
Nothing left to fight.

All alone on the journey,
Counting tears along the way,
Why have you left me?
Why didn’t you stay?

They are coming at me,
Full speed ahead,
Without your protection,
I am better off dead.
Without your protection,
I am better off dead.

Sleepiness settles,
My boots full of dust,
They point their flaming arrows,
At my bones made of rust.

Blisters coming up,
Morale going down,
Why did you leave me,
In this forsaken town?

They are coming at me,
Full speed ahead,
Without your protection,
I am better off dead.
Without your protection,
I am better off dead.
