Dig Deep

Inside my shadows,
Hides all the hurt and pain,
I try to not let it consume me,
Because, I worry when it rains.

Outside all my shadows,
Is a place of light and peace,
To this world I am a foreigner,
Because in Jesus I believe.

And there is a safe place,
Where I like to go,
Filled with people like me,
Who have been caught in the undertoe.

The walls are made of wood,
And the carpet is very red,
Sometimes, the preacher talks of things,
As if he is inside my head.

He reminds me that Jesus,
Will fulfill my every need,
Just walk by the faith,
And when it’s rough, dig deep.
