THAT Day

Sadness swells in my heart,
As memories surface in my brain,
Because of THAT day…
It is all forever engrained.

My whole world changed,
And with every year passing,
It seems to attract more darkness,
I am trying to prevent this attacking.

Oh Lord keep me from this madness,
Why does it have to hurt so much,
I need to hear your voice,
I want to feel your spiritual touch.

Carry me through this Lord,
For it is in you I confide,
May THAT day just be normal,
For it is under your wing I now hide.
