World of Snow

Tunes of old,
Playing in my ear,
Old memories rising,
Wishing you were here.

You make me smile,
Big and wide,
But when you come around,
I just want to hide.

So many stories untold,
Oh to have an audience with you,
I want to hold you so tight,
And tell you why I’m blue.

Words unspoken,
Words that never will be said,
I sit and listen to my music
Go to sleep, lonely in bed.

Why do I grieve,
What I cannot ever gain,
Lord, make me grateful,
Forgive me, during my pain.

For my mind wanders,
Where it should not go,
I crave the green grass,
In my world of cold snow.
