Until Sunrise

The winds of my mind are blowing,
I can feel it on my skin,
The gears are turning quickly,
Will I fail or will I win?

The gusts are getting faster,
It’s coming up a storm,
This life is so complicated,
Getting weary, dreadfully worn.

Hurricane force speeds,
Are churning over me,
Fears are trying to consume,
Standing fast I shall be.

My Savior holds me tight,
On the ever lasting rock,
I am the daughter of the King,
A precious member of His flock.

He will protect me,
As the gale forces swirl around,
When the tornado decides to hit,
It will not touch my ground.

Oh thank you, Jesus,
For Your mercy and Your grace,
Even in all this maddening chaos,
I still hear your voice in this place.

My mind is so ever broken,
A dark place at this time,
You will protect me from myself,
Until again, the sun will rise.

The winds of my mind are blowing,
I can feel it on my skin,
The gears are turning quickly,
With You by my side, I will win
