Love Not Fear

Why do you paralyze me
And control all that I do?
Fear. My enemy.
He brings it on thick,
Making me afraid to talk,
Afraid to run,
Afraid to walk,

Ignore, ignore ignore
From sun up until you snore
You can’t even see…
The starving woman inside me!

Without my God,
Without my Lord
I would be as empty,
As Jesus’ tomb.

Trying to get out,
And use my wings
You clip them off,
With your words that sting.

Lord, Lord,
What am I to do?
Give me strength and wisdom,
To name a few.

Please, oh please,
Send a peace dove,
Give me what I need,
To continue to love.
