If I Had You For A Day

If I had you for a day,
Oh what would we do,
Start with an early coffee,
Watch the sky turn blue.

Take a long walk,
Hold each other’s hand,
Walk in step,
Our feet on white sand.

Talk about the random thoughts,
That pop in our head,
Catch up on old times,
Snuggle in bed.

Laugh til we cry,
Gaze and stare,
Wonder how we got this old,
Enjoy what is there.

Sing a stupid song,
Dance to a beat,
Tickle each other,
Stay away from my feet. 😂

Cook some good food,
Make a mess,
Time spent with you,
Simply priceless.

If I had you for a day,
Oh what would we do,
End with a sweet kiss,
And a long hug or two.
