Seasons of Tears

There will be days of joy.
There will be days of rain.
There will be days of happiness.
There will be days of pain.

I am smiling, laughing,
Everything seems fine,
Rolling down the road,
Then get tangled in the enemy’s twine.

It’s like nails on a chalk board
I can’t take it anymore,
In my weakness,
I am looking up to you, my Lord.

Have you forgotten me?
I wonder how long I will have to wait?
I question its purpose,
Was it Your choice or simply fate?

My tears will flow from joy,
And my tears will drip in the rain,
My tears flow during happiness,
My tears sting from the pain.

Why do you allow me to suffer,
When I put all my trust in you
I am innocent before thee,
Can you give me a clue?

As the clouds begin to depart,
I see the rainbow up high,
I begin to feel relief,
As I look into the sky.

There are a seasons of tears,
I am learning to feel,
When we let them flow,
It reminds us we are real.

You created us to feel joy,
You are there during the rain,
You rejoice when we are happy,
And love us when we are in pain.
