Can’t Without You

Voices calling from the dark,
My eyes change and lose their spark,
There is a break in my free will,
I need a drink from the well,
As I try to not fall apart…

Drowning in their noise,
I need to hear Your voice,
Steady stream of lies,
I will not compromise,
But the temptation is so real…

Take me to your throne room,
Take away the pain,
I can feel all my imperfection,
Is getting in the way.

My mind is not quite right,
And You know this is true,
I couldn’t handle being me,
Without knowing You.

I can’t keep myself straight,
My thoughts wander far away,
You chose my path of shadows,
As You lead me to meadows,
Oh shepherd take me now!

Madness is killing the confidence in me,
You are here, here to set me free,
But my pride is trying to surface,
As I fall down in this barren place,
Thinking I can do it on my own…

Take me to your throne room,
Take away the pain,
I can feel all my imperfection,
Is getting in the way.

My mind is not quite right,
And You know this is true,
I couldn’t handle being me,
Without knowing You.
