Shades Of Colors

In honor of D-Day

The dark blue covers the sky,
One more night away, but not goodbye.
I miss our sunny, blue days,
And in your blue eyes, I did gaze,

Shades of blue in my mind,
Shades of blue, my eyes cry.

Wearing the red dress from our first date,
Remembering the movie we did debate,
And those red roses, you sent me,
You make me feel wanted and free.

Shade of red, a passion shared,
Shade of red of one who cares.

Sitting on the grass so green,
Waiting, during a daydream,
Wanting you to come back,
But they said your unit was under attack.

Shades of green, a uniform worn,
Shades of green, my life torn.
