Child of God

Wish I could write music and sing… I want to rock out to these words I just put together.

Sitting in your easy chair,
Blowing smoke at me,
Offering up the world,
A world of fantasy.

You think I am going bite,
You think I am going to chew,
But I can’t choke down those lies,
I am gonna fight it through.

You picked the wrong one,
For this temptation,
Don’t you know…
I am a child of God,

I glow just like the sun,
Shining light til you’re gone,
Cause I am a child of God.

Your inflated dominion,
Has no power over me,
Oh you are of the devil,
Satan get behind me.

You prey on the weak,
With them you try to scare,
And yet you’re still sitting here,
While I just stand and glare.

You picked the wrong one,
For this temptation,
Don’t you know…
I am a child of God.

I glow just like the sun,
Shining light, til you’re gone,
Cause I am a child of God.

I can see through you,
I can see past your lies,
Not today Satan,
Time to say goodbye,

You picked the wrong one,
For this temptation,
Don’t you know…
I am a child of God.
