When I responded to the call,
She had a gunshot wound to her chest,
I watched her gurgle,
I watched her take her last breath.
When she woke up that morning,
She didn’t know she would die,
Leaving five children,
And a beloved behind.
She said goodbye to her body,
Under the stars on that night,
In the back of an ambulance,
She gave up the fight.
Then with amazment,
I watched the bright light,
Lift from her body,
And go up out of sight.
Where are you headed now,
Oh soul…
Are you headed to Heaven,
Or Sheol.
Did the Angel’s come get you,
Did the demons snatch you away,
Did someone tell you about Christ,
Before this day.
Oh your soul…
Where did it go…
